Greenpois0n iOS 4.1 Jailbreak für iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G, iPad kommt am Sonntag

Der Releasetermin für den iOS 4.1 Jailbreak Greenpois0n steht fest. Am Sonntag, den 10.10.10 um 10 Uhr 10 GMT will das Chronic Dev-Team Greenpois0n für iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G und iPad veröffentlichen.

Entgegen den Hoffnungen wird der Greenpois0n Jailbreak von iOS 4.1 nur auf iDevices mit dem Apple A4 Prozessor funktionieren.

Das heißt also: Der Jailbreak von iOS 4.1 durch Greenpois0n / SHAtter wird wirklich nur auf dem Apple iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G und dem iPad funktionieren.

ACHTUNG: NICHT UPDATEN AUF iOS 4.1 – KEIN UNLOCK FÜR iOS 4.1 / IPHONE 4 & Co.

Allerdings konnte der Greenpois0n Jailbreak, obwohl der SHAtter Exploit einen tethered Jailbreak erfordert, durch die Mithilfe von @comex zu einem untethered Jailbreak umgebaut werden.

Das heißt, Greenpois0n nutzt für den iOS 4.1 Jailbreak einerseits den Bootrom Exploit durch SHAtter, andererseits einen Userland Exploit von @comex. Diese Lücke im Userland wird vermutlich durch ein iOS Update von Apple geschlossen – für iOS 4.1.1 bzw. iOS 4.2 dürfte Greenpois0n dann also doch wieder tethered sein.
