Der tethered Jailbreak von iOS 6.0.1 und iOS 6 mit Sn0wbreeze v2.9.7 steht zum Download bereit. Die aktuelle Version von Sn0wbreeze richtet sich an Windows User mit iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 und iPod touch 4G. Ein untethered iOS 6.0.1 Jailbreak ist auch mit dem neuen Download von Sn0wbreeze 2.9.7 NICHT möglich. Ebenso kann KEIN Jailbreak von iPhone 5, iPhone 4S oder iPad 4, 3, 2 oder iPad mini unter iOS 6 & iOS 6.0.1 durchgeführt werden. Im Gegensatz zu Redsn0w, das den Jailbreak „auf dem Gerät“ durchführt, setzt Sn0wbreeze auf die Erstellung einer Custom iOS 6.0.1 bzw. iOS 6 Firmware, die dann per iTunes installiert werden kann.

- Added 6.0 (10A403)/6.0.1 (10A523) support. (Only includes iPhone 3GS & A4 devices).
- The 6.0/6.0.1 is currently a tethered based jailbreak via iBooty (except for iPhone 3GS old bootrom users).
- SAM is built-in for iOS 6 hacktivations. (Hacktivated phones can reboot to a semi-tethered state after being activated [rather than just hang at the Apple Logo]). Kudos @sbingner!
Interessant ist für Unlocker vor allem der letzte Punkt: ein iPhone 3GS und iPhone 4 kann mit Sn0wbreeze 2.7.9 nach der Hacktivierung zum semi-tethered Boot bewegt werden. Das heißt, dass das iPhone trotz Boot OHNE Kabel am Computer noch eine Grundfunktionalität gewährleistet und nicht beim Apple Logo hängen bleibt.
Übrigens müssen Windows 8 User eine gesonderten Workaround durchführen um Sn0wbreeze v2.9.7 zur Arbeit bzw. zum Jailbreak zu bewegen.
Weiterhin bezieht iH8sn0w nochmals gesondert Stellung zu „neueren“ Apple Geräte mit A5, A5X, A6 und A6X Prozessoren wie z.B. iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4 und iPad mini
As stated many times in the past, sn0wbreeze cannot be updated to work on A5(X)/A6(X) devices until a low level exploit in DFU or iBoot is found and made public.
For those running A5(X)/A6(X) devices and need to preserve your baseband, there is nothing you can do at the moment. For those wanting to hacktivate, the only advice I can give is to buy the carrier’s SIM (the one its locked to obviously) on ebay. The SIM does not have to be active with the carrier to activate the phone.
Soll heißen: KEIN BootROM Exploit bedeutet, dass kein Sn0wbreeze Update zum Jailbreak dieser oben genannten Geräte möglich ist. Weiterhin können solche iDevices NICHT hacktiviert oder per Unlock freigeschaltet werden.
