Tweetbot 3 ist noch immer unser Twitter Client der Wahl auf iPhone oder iPad. Twitter selbst zwingt Tweetbot zu einem Update, das sowohl für Tweetbot 2 als auch für Tweetbot 3 aktuell im iOS App Store kostenlos zum Download als Pflichtupdate bereit steht. Wer das Update auf Tweetbot 2.8.8 bzw. Tweetbot 3.2.2 nicht durchführt wird ab dem 29. Mai nicht mehr mit dem beliebten iOS Twitter Client arbeiten können.
In einem Blogpost auf Tapbots erklären die Tweetbot Macher dieses Pflichtupdate der Twitter Apps für iOS. Twitter habe Sie kontaktiert um an der Art und Weise etwas zu ändern wie Tweetbot mit der Twitter API spricht. Dabei soll diese Änderung keinerlei Auswirkungen auf die Nutzung von Tweetbot für den Nutzer haben.
A couple weeks ago Twitter’s Platform Operations group contacted us and asked us to make a small change to the way Tweetbot communicates with the Twitter API. This change will have no affect on the way Tweetbot works, however two things will occur once this change goes live. All versions of Tweetbot prior to 2.8.8 or 3.2.2 will stop working and you may need to log into your account again. So make sure you are running the latest versions of the app and be prepared to authenticate your account once more.
