App Store: Apple plant große Aufräumaktion

Der 7. September ist nicht nur der Tag, an dem das Apple iPhone 7 und iPhone 7 Plus vorgestellt werden sollen, sondern auch der Tag, an dem Apple eine große Aufräumaktion für den eigenen App Store eingeplant hat.

App Store wird ab 7. September aufgeräumt

Wie Apple seinen Entwicklern mitgeteilt hat, will das US-Unternehmen Apps aus dem App Store schmeißen, die entweder nicht mehr den Richtlinien entsprechen, nur noch mit alten iOS-Versionen kompatibel sind oder nicht mehr wie gewünscht funktionieren – die Qualität steht dabei laut Apple an oberster Stelle:

Quality is extremely important to us. We know that many of you work hard to build innovative apps and update your apps on the App Store with new content and features. However, there are also apps on the App Store that no longer function as intended or follow current review guidelines, and others which have not been supported with compatibility updates for a long time. We are implementing an ongoing process of evaluating apps for these issues, notifying their developers, and removing problematic and abandoned apps from the App Store.

Viele alte, dysfunktionale Apps werden entfernt

Dementsprechend ist damit zu rechnen, dass in Kürze eine Menge alter Apps aus dem iOS-App-Store fliegen wird. Wie viele Apps genau am Ende entfernt werden, wird mit Sicherheit sehr interessant zu sehen sein.
