Nach dem Download von Absinthe – dem ersten iPhone 4S Jailbreak Tool – gibts so manche Probleme! Vor allem der Fehler bei der Ausführung von Absinthe „Error establishing a database connection“ ist wohl weitverbreitet. Doch der Fehler kann umgangen werden! Wie ihr diesen Fehler beim Jailbreak eures iPhone 4S bzw. iPad 2 umgeht erfahrt ihr hier!
Der Fehler von Absinthe „Error establishing a database connection“ kann laut planetbeing wie folgt umgangen werden:
- Einstellungen am iPhone 4S öffnen
- (temporären) Absinthe VPN aktivieren
- Error & Reboot (ist normal)
- Danach sollte der iPhone 4S Jailbreak bzw. iPad 2 Jailbreak problemlos funktionieren
Oder wie planetbeing uns das per Twitter kommuniziert:
The VPN connection will give an error. This is normal. A reboot should happen a few moments after the error.
If the Absinthe webclip shows „Error establishing a database connection“, please go to Settings, turn on VPN and wait instead.
Allerdings scheint das Problem mit der Database Connection mit der greenpois0n Homepage zusammenzuhängen. Die Jungs arbeiten bereits an einem Fix!

Übrigens scheint es noch ein paar Fehler bei Absinthe zu geben! Bei einem nicht vollständigen iPhone 4S Jailbreak / iPad 2 Jailbreak mit Absinthe sind die Fotos aus der Camera Roll weg! Aber keine Sorge – nach einem erneuten Durchlauf „Absinthe Jailbreak“ sind die Fotos alle wieder da!
Camera roll will be empty if the jailbreak is incomplete. Rerun the app once to fix, and then another time to complete jb. (Quelle)
UPDATE – Noch ein paar Tipps von planetbeing:
- When jailbreaking: Do not have a passcode set. Do not have your own VPN setup (Absinthe needs to setup its own).
- If Absinthe crashes, reboot your DEVICE and try again.
- Toggle VPN only AFTER Absinthe says it’s done, or it will not work. VPN SHOULD error and then reboot soon. If it does not, rerun Absinthe!
