Generell ist das Mac OS X nicht dafür bekannt, die erste Anlaufstelle für Spieler zu sein -eher im Gegenteil, diese greifen in den meisten Fällen zu einem Windows-PC oder einer aktuellen Konsole. Dennoch lässt es sich auch unter OS X spielen, wenngleich die Voraussetzungen natürlich nicht so gut sind wie unter Windows. Mit dem neuen Steam Controller könnte es sich zumindest ein klein wenig ändern, dass OS X auch als Maschine zum Spielen angesehen wird.
Steam Controller: Probleme unter Mac OS X
Bei „AppleInsider“ hat man den Steam Controller unter Mac OS X getestet, wenngleich es sich nicht um einen vollständigen Test handelt, sondern um einen Ersteindruck. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass der Steam Controller bisher nicht vollständig mit OS X kompatibel ist und es dementsprechend Probleme gibt.
Das bisherige Fazit von „AppleInsider“ liest sich wie folgt:
