Gerüchte über Over-Ear-Kopfhörer von Apple hat es bereits in der vergangenen Woche gegeben, die nun noch einmal vom bekannten Analysten Ming-Chi Kuo aufgegriffen wurden. Nach diesem sollen die Kopfhörer, nennen wir sie spaßeshalber Apple OverAir, eine besondere Zielgruppe haben sollen.
Apple OverAir: Noise Canceling auf hohem Niveau
Genauer gesagt sollen sich die Kopfhörer an all jene richten, die nicht nur generell Noise Canceling wollen, sondern dies auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Gegenüber Bloomberg hat Kuo dies entsprechend bestätigt (via Bloomberg):
The Cupertino, California-based technology giant is working on noise-canceling, over-ear headphones that rival headsets from market leaders like Bose and even the company’s own Beats by Dre brand, according to people familiar with the product’s development. The company plans to launch the headphones as early as the end of this year, but has faced development challenges that might push back the release, the people said.
Apple AirPods als Einstieg in den Kopfhörer-Markt
Ein Fokus auf das Noise Canceling verwundert nicht, bedeutet aber wohl auch, dass die Kopfhörer alles andere als günstig ausfallen werden. Auf den Markt kommen sollen die bisher noch namenlosen Kopfhörer noch in diesem Jahr und sind der logische nächste Schritt nach dem Erfolg der Apple AirPods.
