Einen Tag vor der offiziellen Präsentation von Apple iPhone 7 und iPhone 7 Plus hat sich der bekannte Marktanalyst Ming-Chi Kuo noch einmal zu Wort gemeldet. Und zwar mit einer Prognose, nach der die Apple AirPods, die Wireless-Kopfhörer Apples, nicht nur einen Custom-Bluetooth-Chip erhalten, sondern auch für das High-End-Segment eingeplant sein.
Apple AirPods: Für High-End-Sparte eingeplant
Laut Kuo sollen die Wireless-Kopfhörer von Beats Music dagegen in der Mittelklasse angesiedelt sein:
We believe Apple will position Beats in the midrange market once it launches Apple’s own-brand Bluetooth headphones, in order to maximize profit with a dual-brand strategy. We also believe Apple will have its own-designed Bluetooth-like communication chip, given its higher requirements for power-saving, communication specs and potential rapid growth of Bluetooth headphone shipments. Cheng-Uei and Inventec are the likely choices for assembly service.
Beats Music mit weiteren Kopfhörern am Start
Somit scheint Apple seine eigenen Kopfhörer als bessere Modelle anbieten zu wollen, während die Beats-Modelle eher für Casual-Nutzer gedacht sind. Ob Kuo mit seiner Prognose richtig liegt, werden wir morgen erfahren.
