Das TIME Magazine hat Jean Liu, die Präsidentin von Didi Chuxing, im Jahr 2017 zu den inspirierendsten Persönlichkeiten gewählt. Hierzu hat sich auch Apple-CEO Tim Cook zu Wort gemeldet, der im TIME-Artikel zu Liu ein paar Worte verloren hat.
Apple-CEO Tim Cook mit Lob für Didi Chuxing
So hat sich Tim Cook aber nicht nur zu Liu selbst geäußert, sondern auch insbesondere zum Unternehmen Didi Chuxing. Der chinesische Konkurrent von Uber wurde dabei von Cook mit viel Lob versehen, was sich im folgenden Auszug aus dem Kommentar von Cook sehr gut erkennen lässt (via TIME):
She and her team are succeeding with innovative, big-data algorithms that aim both to improve the efficiency of Didi’s service and to ease the congestion on roadways. By analyzing commuter patterns the way oceanographers track the tides, Didi may help traffic jams go the way of the flip phone.
In over 400 cities across China, Jean has also built a company that is dedicated to serving the community around it. Guiding Didi to this higher purpose, and giving back to the places where it does business, she shares my belief that companies can and should measure themselves by more than just the bottom line.
Didi Chuxing könnte Verkehrsstaus vermeiden
Laut Cook könnte es demnach sein, dass das Konzept von Didi Chuxing dafür sorgt, dass Verkehrsstaus der Vergangenheit angehören. Dass sich Cook so positiv über das chinesische Unternehmen äußert, ist aber nicht überraschend. Immerhin hat Apple vor gut einem Jahr ca. eine Milliarde US-Dollar in Didi Chuxing investiert.
