Als neues Android Flaggschiff wird das Samsung Galaxy Nexus gehandelt. Während Samsung von Apple vorgeworfen wird, Smartphones & Tablets zu kopieren und Samsung dies dementiert scheint sich beim Samsung Galaxy Nexus ein Problem mit der Antenne im 2G Netz zu zeigen. Das Galaxy Nexus ist zwar unanfällig gegenüber dem iPhone Todesgriff (Deathgrip) aber die Lautstärketasten verweigern ihren Dienst.
Allerdings nimmt sich Samsung bzw. Google dem Antennenproblem des Samsung Galaxy Nexus per Software-Fix an, ein langfristiges Samsung Antennagate dürfte also ausgeschlossen sein. Der technische Hintergrund:
the issue is that 900MHz interference makes the volume down button oscillate between on and off so quickly that it overflows the buffer for the keypad device. This is the key here. (Quelle)
Kurzum: per Software-Fix kann das Lautstärke-Problem des Galaxy Nexus behoben werden. So spricht Google:
„We are aware of the volume issue and have developed a fix. We will update devices as soon as possible.“ (Quelle)
Tja, wohl dann doch kein Antennagate wie beim iPhone 4. Anscheinend kopiert Samsung doch nicht (alles) beim Mitstreiter Apple…
